Aric Sundquist is a writer of speculative fiction. Born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, he graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Creative Writing. His stories have appeared in numerous publications, including Fearful Fathoms Vol. 1, The Best of Dark Moon Digest, Night Terrors III, Evil Jester Digest Vol. 1, and Division by Zero 4: rEvolution. Being a writer and a musician at heart, he also enjoys tabletop board games, playing guitar, traveling, and downhill skiing. Currently, he lives in Marquette, MI, with his girlfriend, Elsa, and a ferocious beagle named Bruce.
In January 2013, he began working as an acquisitions editor and scriptwriter for Evil Jester Comics, adapting stories by bestselling authors Joe McKinney and Jonathan Maberry for the inaugural issue of Evil Jester Presents. In 2014, he edited EJC's first graphic novel, Made Flesh, written by Lars Kramhøft and illustrated by Tom Kristensen. Currently, he is working on a number of short stories, a dark fantasy novella series, and a horror-themed board game.
His writing influences include: Hugh Howey, Ray Bradbury, Joe Hill, Stephen King, Richard Matheson, Algernon Blackwood, Joyce Carol Oates, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan, Ursula K. Le Guin, H.P. Lovecraft, Terry Moore.
