After taking a ten year hiatus from reading Robert Jordan's fourteen book opus, The Wheel of Time, I have recently begun reading the series again. Honestly, I love it just as much as before. Maybe even more. I just finished Knife of Dreams (book eleven) and I'm now diving into book twelve, The Gathering Storm, the first novel of the series co-written by Brandon Sanderson following Robert Jordan's death in 2007. It sucks that Jordan was so close to finishing his series. But Sanderson is an insanely talented writer, and from what I have read so far, and from what I have heard, he has done a wonderful job concluding the series in the final three books. I found a series of lectures by Brandon Sanderson and thought I would post them here. For anyone thinking about writing in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, you should do yourself a favor and watch them all. They're very informative. I've linked three videos below (although there are many more). Click on READ MORE. LECTURE 1 (PART 1) - INTRO TO SCI-FI AND FANTASY LECTURE 1 (PART 2) - IDEAS ARE CHEAP LECTURE 1 (PART 4) - GARDENERS VS ARCHITECTS

Hey Aric, I love WOT, but I got stuck a third of the way through Crossroads of Twilight. There was such a momentous event at the end of the previous installment, and then Crossroads seemed a downer since it didn't continue that storyline.
