For the past few months I've been working on a number of personal projects, including play-testing my new board game, creating an independent publishing company (Dark Peninsula Press), and spiffing up my new office. I haven't been writing as much lately, so I decided to address this concern by giving my office some much needed attention. So I sat down and polished up a piece I wrote last year, then I sent it off to a publisher. Below are some pics of my office. And yes, that is an actual samurai sword on top of the bookshelf. Also, the Grindhouse and Pulp Fiction posters are not reprints, but actual copies from the theatrical releases (I used to be a projectionist). I just picked up the typewriter, an Olivetti Lettera 32, and also some ink cartridges. Hopefully it still works. Anyway, my girlfriend snapped the pics below with her phone while I worked. Bruce wasn't adapting well to my private time. He had no idea what I was doing in there, and waited outside my door for over two hours. I guess he is very intolerant when it comes to rejection ... unlike us writers. Poor guy! After, I had to spend some quality reading time with him on the couch.
